Glandular Toadlet

Uperoleia glandulosa

A small (2.5 cm) squat frog with a sharp snout and large parotid glands behind the head. There is a pair of large tubercles on each foot and the toes have a small amount of webbing. Colouration is a drab olive brown with irregular dark blotches. There are faint or irregular orange vertebral and lateral lines, and patches of orange in the groin and thighs.

This species can be distinguished from the Northwest Toadlet by its call and more extensive glands on the sides.

Endemic to the Pilbara region toward north coast.
