Tiny Toadlet

Uperoleia micra

This small species is dark brown to almost black, with red highlights on the snout and upper arms and on the sides a bluish hue with white dots. The skin is covered with raised tubercles giving it a roughened appearance.

Breeding

Males call near flowing water associated with sandstone outcrops.

Call

A high-pitched rasp repeated frequently.

Habitat

Associated with sandstone platforms and boulders.
