What motivates people to leave their homeland? What objects and stories do migrants bring with them? Open up some old suitcases and discover the stories of real people risking everything they know to start a new life in a new country. This interactive session will bring Western Australia’s immigration stories alive with letters, photos and artefacts for students to investigate. The Oberon class Submarine HMAS Ovens is an authentic Cold War-era vessel. This exhibit serves as a living memorial to submariners and those who gave their lives during Australia’s Naval history. *Special conditions apply for entry.
