Yirra Yaakin

Yirra Yaakin, which means “stand tall” in Noongar language, is WA’s premier Aboriginal theatre company and creative cultural partners with the Western Australian Museum.

This very significant partnership was announced by Culture and the Arts Minister John Day on 23 November 2012, paving the way for three years of collaboration which sees Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company perform as artists in residence at the WA Museum.
